A SCREAM BREAKS THE SILENCE

A bloodcurdling shout shattered the thick silence. It echoed across the empty hall, triggering goosebumps to rise on my skin. The heart hammered inside its chest as I attempted to figure out the origin of the frightening sound. Was it real? Or was my imagination working overtime in the shadowy stillness? I waited frozen in apprehension, unable to
